Members of the working group, including JUDr. Miroslav Hlivák, PhD., LLM., the firm's partner, presented to the Members of the National Council of the Slovak Republic a draft of the new “Sports Act” (hereinafter the “Act”), which will significantly affect sports legislation.

Transparency in and control over the use of public funds will be a significant change in the Act; however, these adjustments require a number of legislative changes. As long as everything goes according to a plan, the Act should become effective in early 2016.

Some provisions of the draft Act were modified on the basis of information and comments from the participants in public disputes in Bratislava, Žiar nad Hronom and Košice.
