FOR THE THIRD TIME, WE ARE AMONG THE AWARDED OF THE "LAW FIRM OF THE 2015" COMPETITION

The weekly magazine Trend, in cooperation with e-pravo.sk, had announced the third annual "Law Firm of 2015" competition and the award ceremony of the award-winning law firms was held on 29 April 29 2015 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bratislava. Law firm SOUKENÍK - ŠTRPKA, s.r.o. was also among the winners in different categories.

THE FRIST PUBLIC DEBATE ABOUT THE FORTHCOMING NEW SPORTS ACT

The first public debate on the forthcoming new Sports Act called "The new Sports Act draft or setting the balance between the relations, interests and values in sports by a new legal regulation of sports" was held on April 22, 2015 at the DOUBLETREE BY HILTON HOTEL BRATISLAVA. One of the presenters and discussants at the public debate was JUDr. Miroslav Hlivak, PhD., LLM., one of the partners of our law firm.

THE DRAFT OF THE NEW SPORTS ACT IS AVAILABLE PRIOR TO THE PUBLIC DEBATES

Prior to the first public debate in Bratislava taking place on Wednesday 22 April 2015, the working group has made the working draft of the Sports Act available for the public.

TOP TEN NATIONAL SPORTS ASSOCIATIONS EXPRESSED THEIR SUPPORT FOR THE SPORTS ACT

On Wednesday 4 April 2015, the top managers of the ten largest Slovak national sports associations unanimously declared their support for the new Sports Act and its philosophy and for the work of the working group authorized to draft the new Sports Act. The main objective of the new legislation is to set a standardized environment and to increase the transparency of management of financial resources.

A PUBLIC DEBATE OVER THE FORTHCOMING NEW SPORTS ACT

The working group authorized with the drafting of the new Sports Act is currently at the stage, when it deems proper and necessary to discuss the proposed solutions with those whose daily life shall be most affected by the new legislation - with athletes, sports professionals, representatives of sports associations, clubs and other sports organizations, representatives of the business sector and public authorities (government, higher territorial units, municipalities).
