REPRESENTATION IN THE SLOVAK FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION'S BODY TO ENSURE FAIRNESS

JUDr. Miroslav Hlivák, PhD., LLM was elected Chair of the Chamber for Dispute Resolution of the Slovak Football Association (SFZ).

A meeting of the entire SFZ assembly was held in the congress hall at Hotel Senec on 6.6.2014 at which the delegates of the SFZ conference elected one of the partners in our law firm, JUDr. Miroslav Hlivák, PhD., LLM, as Chair of the SFZ Chamber for Dispute Resolution.

The Chamber is the body of the SFZ charged with ensuring fairness and has the power to review and decide in disputes between players, coaches and clubs that arise on the basis of contractual matters and other duties imposed by regulations and binding decisions issued by the SFZ if so stipulated by SFZ bylaws. The Chamber is comprised of a Chair, a Deputy Chair and an equal number of members representing clubs on the one hand and players and coaches on the other. The Chamber reviews and issues decisions in disputes using a three-member senate comprised of the Chair or Deputy Chair and two members selected for the individual parties to the disputes.
