The working draft of the Sports Act that had been introduced by the working group in advance of the public debates includes several new definitions and changes. However, the published revisions require certain legislative changes to be made in cooperation with the individual government departments.

The major change introduced by the new Sports Act shall be transparency and control of management of financial resources and the simultaneous increase of finances into sports. Moreover, the new Sports Act defines the new position of sponsors, determines the effective dispute settlement by introduction of the Permanent Court for Sports and, in order to make the procedures of allocation of funds and the resolutions of sports associations more transparent, it also introduces a new information system of sports.

More detailed explanation of the definitions and professional statements of Mr. Miroslav Hlivák, partner of our law film, are available in the article published by magazine Trend.
