NATIONAL COUNCIL OF THE SLOVAK REPUBLIC PASSED THE NEW SPORTS ACT AIMED TO IMPROVE THE FUNDING AND MANAGEMENT OF SLOVAK SPORTS

The members of the National Council of the Slovak Republic approved the Sports Act at the 58th session on 26 November 2015; of the 135 MPs present, 132 MPs supported the Act, 3 MPs abstained and no MP voted against.

The new Sports Act was drafted by a working group, which drafted the Act in the form passed by the National Council of the Slovak Republic in cooperation with experts from various fields and with the support of sports personalities, representatives of the sports movement and the public.

A press conference was held after the Sports Act was passed, which was also attended by JUDr. Miroslav Hlivák, PhD., LLM., a partner at our law firm SOUKENÍK-ŠTRPKA and a member of the working group.
