On 13 April 2016, the Radisson Blu Carlton Hotel in Bratislava hosted another annual conference “Labour Law 2016” with speakers from academia, representatives of several renowned law firms as well as representatives of labour inspection bodies who are professionally engaged in labour law.
Andrej Guba, senior associate at our law firm SOUKENÍK – ŠTRPKA, was one of the speakers at the event.
Andrej Guba’s contribution titled “Employment and Legal Effects of Long-Term Loss of Employee’s Health Capacity to Perform the Agreed Work” addressed the practical problems related to an employee’s temporary and long-term incapacity to work and the associated employment and legal consequences, and the issue of submitting documents of an employee’s health incapacity to work, which do not contain the statutory requirements, and the related procedure of the employer if provided with such a document.
Given positive feedback from the conference participants, the organiser of this professional event, EU GENERATION, intends to organise another conference in 2017 in order to provide the participants with answers to the current labour law issues.
