LABOR LAW CONFERENCE 2017

On April 4th 2017 the next year of the Conference on the labor law took the place in the Radisson Blu Carlton Hotel in Bratislava. On the Conference the speech was made not only by professor JUDr. Helena Barancová, DrSc., but also by the representatives of the bodies on the protection of law, who professionally deal with the issues of labor law (judiciary, labor inspection) and last but not least also by the representatives from a number of reputable law firms.

One of the representatives at this event was also Mr. Andrej Guba who is one of the head-lawyer in the SOUKENIK-ŠTRPKA law firm and is specialized in the area of labor law.

Mr. Andrej Guba in the framework of his professional post with the title “Selected issues of practice related to the termination of employment by notice by the employer” devoted to the problems encountered in the legal practice in relation to the right of the employee to the presence of his lawyer and a representative of the employees in the service of notice by the employer at the workplace, with the issue of admissibility of the use of the audio and audio-visual recording of the termination of employment notice as evidence in court proceeding for annulment of the termination of employment. Mr. Andrej Guba was also speaking about the issues associated with trade union pluralism at the workplace by the employer at the hearing testimony and with the offer of other suitable work by the employer upon termination of the employment relationship.

In view of the positive feedback from the participants of the Conference, the organizer, the EU GENERATION Company, plans to prepare the Conference in 2018, with the aim to provide participants with answers to current questions related to labor law.
