Peter Štrpka, partner

JUDr. Peter Štrpka, PhD., advocate, born in 1978 in Žiar nad Hronom. He graduated with honors (cum laude) from the Faculty of Law of Comenius University in Bratislava, where he also successfully defended his dissertation thesis on the topic of “Bill of exchange objections systemics”. JUDr. Peter Štrpka took part in many scientific seminars in Germany and the Czech Republic. He gave lectures in the field of commercial law at many seminars. JUDr. Peter Štrpka has been a legal team leader in a number of significant mergers, acquisitions, and due diligences where he has also provided legal services in relation to financing creditors (especially banks) and antitrust bodies (in particular the Antimonopoly Office of the Slovak Republic). He specializes particularly in commercial law with a focus on corporate, banking, competition and energy law. In February 2008, JUDr. Peter Štrpka, PhD. was appointed by the ministry of finance of the Slovak Republic as the chairman of the committee for the internal audit of EXIMBANKA SR. Since May 2012, he has been a member of Legislative Council of government of the Slovak Republic as an independent expert nominated by the Federation of Employers' Associations of the Slovak Republic. In June 2013, he was elected as a member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Slovak Bar Association (SBA), where he performed as a member of the ninth disciplinary board at the beginning. Since July 2017, he became chairman of the SBA Disciplinary Committee. At the same time, he works as a member of the Educational college of the SBA, Working group for Associates' affairs and Committee of the compatibility of execution of advocacy or junior associate practice with other professions. In February 2019, he was elected by the Board of the Judicial academy of the Slovak republic as a member of the Examination Committee for commercial law. He provides legal services in the Slovak, English and German languages. JUDr. Peter Štrpka has obtained security clearance from the National Security Authority for access to classified information - classification level “Confidential”.
