2016 CLAIMS MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE

The Radisson Blu Carlton was the site on 10-11 November 2016 of this year’s annual Claims Management Conference, where experts in business risk management, financing and claim cover, contract law, recovery of bad debt and claims management gathered.

One of the speakers at this event was Peter Štrpka, founding partner of SOUKENÍK – ŠTRPKA Law Firm.

In his talk about "To collect or not to collect or something is rotten in the state of Slovakia" Peter Štrpka talked about practical issues related to  claim recovery and current legislative steps being taken to improve the recoverability of claims, as well as questioning whether the government is taking adequate measures to support honest entrepreneurs.

He also evaluated current amendments to laws covering payment orders, shell corporations, enforcement of judgments and bankruptcies.
